Email Tips Our Lightspeed Spam software protects our customers from the spammers of the world. IP (internet protocol) addresses of known spam networks are blocked. Some networks are on the "grey" list. These networks will send some spam, but most of the mail is legitimate. So, occasionally, Lightspeed will block "good" emails. These emails can be retrieved from your daily Lightspeed Spam Summary. If you "whitelist" an address, it should not be blocked again. If you have an address that cannot be "whitelisted," then call us and we can add it to the network whitelist for you. Much of the internet mail these days are jokes sent to and from your friends. Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook usually are setup to immediately download all messages along with the attachments when you retrieve your mail. If you have a dial-up account, a large picture (attachment) can lock you out of your mail. If this occurs, then one can use our Lightspeed Web Mail to solve this. Lightspeed does not download any attachment until you decide that you want the attachment. This allows a user to delete a message that contains a large attachment. Once deleted, then Outlook and Outlook Express will download the normal size messages. |
